89 - The number of times Pakistan and Australia have met in ODIs. Australia has won 53 of those matches, while Pakistan emerged victorious in 34. One ODI – played at Bellerive Oval in Hobart on December 10, 1992 – was tied, with both Australia and Pakistan scoring 228 runs in 50 overs; while three matches have yielded no results.

40 - Years Old, at 40 Misbah is the oldest player to captain one of the ICC Full Members in an ODI since Clive Rice captained South Africa aged 42 in 1991.

318 - In his five matches since returning to Pakistan’s ODI team after more than three years away, Fawad Alam has scored 318 runs at an average of 106, including an unbeaten 114, his maiden ODI century, against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup in March this year.

150 - There are records waiting to be written, too, as the next ODI for Misbah-Ul-Haq will be his 150th.

79 - Fawad Alam needs 79 runs to reach the 1,000-run mark in his ODI career. His 188 runs in the Asia Cup was the highest he had scored in any series, beating the 153 runs he scored against England in 2010.
